This is an in-depth examination of the Galleria Borghese taken in the company of an art historian who can unfold for you the layers of meaning--social, political, and artistic--of one of the greatest private art collections in the world. The first half of the tour is spent on the lower floors, with the exquisite collection of ancient statuary and bas relief in the ingresso, and then with the works of Bernini and Canova inside the building. From here we proceed to the picture gallery upstairs, and end with a quick overview of the gardens and grounds.

This is a small-group version of our private Galleria Borghese walk. The group will be limited to six people. Reservations to the Galleria are included in the price, but you are responsible for the cost of your own ticket (8.50 euros per person).
