Ex Convent founded in 1222 by St. Francis of Assisi, it was the first hotel open on the Amalfi Coast in 1821, and has welcomed everyone from Henrik Ibsen to Ingrid Bergman, Roberto Rossellini and many others. Perched direct on the sea, the complex built around the Cloister, includes 40 rooms and suites, 2 restaurants, bars and meeting room. There is also a Church in where are celebrated weddings and a Saracen Tower with hosts cooking seminars and from where clients can reach the cliff with sea facilities and a seawater swimming pool.

Each floor has one room with a bathroom suitably equipped for disabled guests.
