In the late Eighteenth century it was a large sweets warehouse, and in the early 1800’s it was turned into a hotel called Hostaria; later on, whilst it remained in the possession of the same family, it became an elegant, refined 4-star hotel. Its rating is particularly valued because despite its adaptation to the age of technology, it has remained firmly anchored to the tradition of those who have always wished it to be regarded as a welcoming home.
The hotel is situated in a lovely, quiet area in the Cannaregio section of Venice, thus called after the Canal Regio, which connects the Canal Grande to the Lagoon, in the Santi Apostoli quarter. This quarter is named after the ancient church built on the site where the apostles made an apparition. The hotel is 3 minutes away from the Rialto Bridge.
